Art at TIMU Academy
Art is a subject that allows all children of all abilities and age to show their creativity and to express their feelings and ideas in an inventive and inspiring manner. To achieve this, they are able to experiment, discover and explore a wide range of mediums across their primary school journey with increasing confidence. Pupils are enthusiastic in understanding the different artistic skills, having a wider knowledge of key artists (both present and in within history) and being proud of the work that they produce.
We encourage an increasing appreciation for art through our discovery topics, allowing children to represent their knowledge in an imaginative and innovative way. This shines through our pupils and it gives them the opportunity to display and produce their work with confidence and pride.
